Tutorials by email will run from January to June, with live creative workshops in July. The mentoring programme for Phase 1 countries, Uganda, Kenya, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, began in September and will run till March 2003, followed by live creative workshops. Crossing Borders, an initiative of the British Council and Lancaster University, aims to support the development of networks of African creative writers working in English.
