Tragic death of Siphikelelo (Spike) Gaura, ZIBF's Programme and Information Officer
It is with the greatest regret and sorrow that the Zimbabwe International Book Fair has to announce the death of Siphikelelo (Spike) Gaura, the ZIBF's Programme and Information Officer. Spike had been battling with a heart condition for some time. Many of you will remember Spike as a cheerful, competent and versatile individual who always exuded warmth to those around her. She had become an integral part of the ZIBF during the years that she was with the organization, executing her duties efficiently and enthusiastically.
Spike is survived by her husband, a son and a daughter and it is the intention of the ZIBF to invite financial assistance from the Fair's supporters for the welfare of these dependants who will struggle greatly in the terrible economic climate of present-day Zimbabwe.
